Fundraisers
Watch for our upcoming events!
The Miramichi Chapter
holds four main fundraiser's. The Walk of Hope, which is held each year on
the first Sunday in May. People gather pledges and then meet at the Miramichi
Mall where they walk onto the Knights of Columbus Hall. At the Hall,
participants can enjoy a lunch served by the Columbian Ladies Aux. and prizes
are given to persons with the most pledges.
Awareness Days July 1, 2 & 3, 2010. Members and volunteers set up displays at local ANBL (Alcool
NB Liquor) in Miramichi City. All donations received are used to assist the
Schizophrenia Society - Miramichi Chapter with its programs and services.
The Cow Patty Bingo / Family Fun Day is a
unique fundraiser, held annualy the last Sunday in July at MacDonald
Historical Farm, Bartibogue. For the purchase of a $5 square, you have the
chance to win $500. The day includes live entertainment, a barbecue, various
children's games and activities.
Another great fundraiser is the Book
Lovers Fall Sale. This will be held on September 16, 17, & 18 at
Northumberland Square, Douglastown. All funds raised are used to promote our
educational programs as well as provide information on the most recent
research and medical treatment.
